If that is not enough
I was born in Bainbridge, Maryland (Cecil County)one week to the day after my mother arrived by steam ship to this most wonderous place.
Mom was a half Chinese half Ukranian lady from Shanghai, China.
My Father at the time was Chief of military Police for alied forces in Shanghai.
Always a sensitive, I naturally exhibited what is vulgarly known as psychic abilities from a young age... it was lawys trouble for me and I did my best in my early years to supress the ability.
Fortunately having a mother who was a witch in a long line of witches, enabled me not to feel guilty for seeing things as they really were...
At the age of 16 I discovered the actually concept of Thelema... as a real way of life... though at that time, I was not yet devoted to its way.
My two favoritew books at the time were "The Book of the Law" and "Magick in Theory and Practice" I loved and protected those two books for the longest time... (in fact still have the same copy of the "Magick" I had then"
It was difficult being a witch in the Army and later in life in business, there common sense showed me that it was in my best interests not to bring attention to the way my path pointed.... or face modern day "witch-Hunters"
22 years ago I was at the renassaince faire in Novato and felt a tremendous drawing to have another do my reading. and I wandered to that area where there were many groups and individuals giving readings...
There in front of Tent sitting cross legged was an old man with a turban who as I passed said to me.... "its about time" . then I looking both ways and over my shoulder to see if someone esle was around said back "me?"... He said "yeah You".. "now before we begin, get me a beer, I'm awefully thirsty".
Obliging the old timer and a bit perplexed, I went over to the tent that sold such refreshments and picked up a double pint and brought it back over to him...
Sitting down before the old man, he took out a very old deck of Thoth tarot cards and began shuffling them ... ( I remember thinking that they were so old and worn I was amazed they could still be shuffled)...
The reading was amazing.... He told me He had never seen so much fire in one being before ... and that he'd seen fire in many people... he also told me if I did not channel it away it would consume first all those around me and then it would consume me.... he suggested that I return to writing poetry (I never told him I wrote poetry) and other forms of expression..... such as writing a journal...
Afterwards while enjoying the beer, he told me his name was Grady McMurtry and that he was the Caliph of the Order Templi Orientis, and that the order was just the kind of vehicle for those who sought communion with the higher self.
He invited me to visit first a Gnostic Mass at the Thelema lodge and then after a few times attending Mass he suggested visiting some of the Classes held there...
One of the Classes I visited and atteneded was Bill Heidrick's Qabalah class and later that same year I began attending his "Magick In Theory and Practice classes also held there.
21 years ago on the same night that Grady died I was initiated into the Order as a Minerval..... at the Ankh-af-na-khonsu Camp.
Now I'm a legitimate member of the Order and one whose plane is to rde this vessel of truth across the river of life to the other side where the manifestation of my True WIll is the reality.
One realization through all my adult life still to this day rings true....... The Will Shall Be the Law.
